Project LE Friends

LE Friends was launched in an effort to add an extra layer of protection for children that have MySpace accounts.

We are pleased to announce that since its inception we have over 300 Law Enforcement Agencies participating in the program.

Through our verification process we have contacted each agency listed on our MySpace LE Friends blog and confirmed that they are legitimate sites.

We have made some great new LE Friends across the country. From the North Pole to the lower 48, their concern and enthusiasm regarding the well being and safety of our children is beyond words and we thank each of them from the bottom of our hearts.

The program in it's early stages has been a great success. We encourage all those concerned about the possibility of encountering an online predator to add LE Friends to their top friends list.

Don't take the chance...Take the challenge!

Holly Springs, NC

Kids Come First was invited to Shredders Day at the Holly Springs Police Department.  We handed out packets of our information and spoke with parents at length.  One little boy was glued to our TV as it played our Safety on the Internet DVD continuously.   Grandparents of very small children stopped and spoke to us about their concerns for the future of their grandchildren and how important is was for them to obtain as much information as possible.  Other parents asked questions and some parents showed no interest at all; although their children did!!

The Holly Springs Mayor stopped by and took our information and commented on what a great program we have and job we are doing.  The Lieutenant that we have been working with helped us set up and couldn’t do enough for us.  He has great concerns about the ongoing problems our children are up against.  We thank him and his fellow officers for their hard work and service.

We also connected with a Sheriffs Deputy from Wake County.  She is committed to educating the public about neighborhood watch programs, identity theft and various other programs regarding safety.  She was the highlight of our day.   To sum it all up, we did our job handing out packets, speaking to the public, and making connections.  Mostly we are happy in that we made some great friends!

Favoring Teachers Who Molest and Abuse Children - A Two Year Investigation conducted by the Herald- Tribune. (Florida)

Chris Davis, Investigations Editor of the Herald-Tribune contacted us today regarding this two year investigation.  What was found is astonishing.  The words "Broken Trust" perfectly describes the feelings of a victim, a survivor and a parent.

As warned by the Herald-Tribune: Some documents may contain obscene language and detailed descriptions.
